Reza Nik Studio
an experimental architecture practice

A weekly piece reflecting on current thoughts, theories, research and sometimes creative writing.

A quick post…..

It has been a 110 days (3 months and a bit) since the beginning of this journey of developing my own trans-disciplinary architectural/creative practice. It has been a life-changing experience and everything I have been working hard towards for the past 6-ish years of post-graduation seem to be coming together now.

I didn’t imagine that I would be this busy, it’s quite surreal.

Some of my active projects are: a large-scale art installation for Nuit Blanche Toronto, a large-scale mural for the BUMP festival in Calgary, a research video for Affordable Housing in Newfoundland, a design-build course at UofT Daniels working with the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust, an immersive narrative based Art show in the Kawarthas, plus a few more and of course my daily experiments which at this point will slowly be used to work on some of the above active projects as well as those series which I feel deserve some more development.

I also really need to update my website now.

really excited for it all but I need to make sure I manage the ‘busy-ness’ and the business side of running my own practice in these early stages of my creative expression.
